Amanda Mohr Thompson is Board Certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). She is a member of the Chattanooga Area Nurses in Advanced Practice (CANAP), Sigma Theta Tau-Rho Iota Chapter, and of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN) Alumnus Status Progressive Care Certified Nurse (RN-PCCN). She graduated with honors in 2012 from Southern Adventist University and received a Master’s of Nursing Degree.

She currently provides care for patients in two office locations, in Ringgold and Chattanooga. She is focused on performing comprehensive skin examinations for early detection of skin cancers. She provides general dermatology for issues involving all hair, skin and nail diseases, including cosmetic concerns. Amanda has experience assisting a Mohs micrographic surgeon with complex closures, rotation flaps and skin grafting. Her previous nursing experience includes cardio-thoracic recovery in the acute care setting at a regional hospital from 2006 to 2012.

She enjoys reading, biking and spending time with family, and considers herself a full-time mother.
